Visit to Egypt by Matthew Denton to Introduce and Integrate Smart Solutions to a Wide Market in Egypt
OTTAWA, Canada: In September 2020, Giatec Scientific had announced a partnership with Diamond, a market leader and key supplier to concrete producers in Egypt. Matthew Denton, our Channel Manager, recently visited Diamond in Egypt, where together they worked on the collective goal to educate the market by introducing many of their customers to the maturity method: a non-destructive approach to testing concrete that allows you to estimate the early-age and compressive strength of in-place concrete in real-time.
Orascom, the leading construction company in Egypt, saw value in our SmartRockTM product upon which we made contact with a decision maker who was looking to adopt our technology into their key products. With a high amount of construction taking place in Egypt and tight project timelines, Orascom were looking to implement technology to improve their project schedules. Upon Orascom’s request, we arranged a meeting between Giatec, Diamond, and Orascom’s top management. Giatec also presented SmartRock to a group of engineers involved with the Mega Mono Rail project, following which Orascom/Diamond and Giatec arranged the first trial of SmartRock to be carried out in the Mono Rail project.
