RCPT (Rapid Chloride Permeability Test), is a test used to measure the resistance of concrete to the penetration of chloride ions, which can cause corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete structures. The RCPT test involves applying an electrical voltage to the surface of a concrete specimen and measuring the amount of electrical current that passes through the concrete. The current flow is proportional to the amount of chloride ions that have penetrated the concrete.
