How Does MixPilot Work?

MixPilot is a robust, self-calibrating, non-invasive hardware solution that ensures precise, real-time monitoring from plant to pour. MixPilot leverages a wireless hydraulic pressure sensor paired with a proprietary magnetic drum sensor to calculate slump with accuracy and reliability. These measurements are seamlessly transmitted to a wireless gateway, where Giatec’s patented algorithms automatically calibrate the mix results, so you don’t have to, delivering real-time data on slump, temperature, and volume.

MixPilot delivers optimal performance when integrated with your dispatch, telematics, and quality control systems—ideally Giatec SmartMix. That said, MixPilot is also designed to function as a standalone solution. Giatec is committed to integrating with our customers’ existing technology stacks and will continue to prioritize integration as we focus on supporting our users during these early stages.

MixPilot hardware is compatible with all standard ready-mix trucks, including both front and rear discharge models.

Absolutely! MixPilot is designed to grow with your business, whether you operate a few trucks or manage a large fleet across multiple locations.

Our gateway relies on cellular networks for real-time data transmission. If a device loses connection, data is stored locally and automatically syncs with the dashboard once the connection is restored.

MixPilot provides real-time alerts for critical issues, such as offline sensors, out-of-tolerance slump readings, RPM deviations, and prolonged idle time. These alerts enable users to take prompt action and maintain optimal performance.

Our sensors and gateway are built for durability and require no calibration or routine maintenance. The only maintenance required is a drum sensor battery recharge and, if needed, a pressure sensor battery replacement after 6 months

Units are sold outright, while the software is billed annually on a per-unit basis. Contracts require a minimum commitment of one year, with extensions or renewals negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

In line with Giatec’s focus on simplicity, onboarding and support are provided free of charge during office hours. If on-site assistance is needed, it will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
